Joseph Gingo

Joseph M. Gingo is Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of A. Schulman, from whom he served in this capacity from 2008-2014. From 2014 until 2016, he served as the Company’s Chairman of the Board. Previously, Mr. Gingo was employed at the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for more than 40 years. From June 2003 through December 2007, he was Executive Vice President, Quality Systems and Chief Technical Officer at Goodyear. In this role he was responsible for Goodyear's Research, Tire Technology and Engineering and Quality organizations. Prior to that, he held numerous domestic and international leadership positions in the company's technical organization and business units including Asia, Aviation Products, Off-The-Road Tires, Engineered Products and Racing. Mr. Gingo earned a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Case Institute of Technology (now Case Western Reserve University), and a law degree from the University of Akron. He received a master's degree in business management from the Sloan Fellowship program at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Derek Bristow is Senior Vice President and General Manager, Asia Pacific, for A. Schulman. In this capacity, he is responsible for the business development efforts for the Company in this high-growth region. Mr. Bristow joined A. Schulman when the Company's acquisition of ICO, Inc. in 2010. During his 12-year tenure with ICO, he held various leadership positions before ultimately being named ICO's President, Europe and Asia in 2008. Mr. Bristow holds a master of business administration degree from Deakin University, Australia, a post-bachelor's degree in polymer engineering from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa, and a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Natal University, South Africa.  


Andreas Günther is A. Schulman's Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, where he oversees all human resources activities for the Company's 5,000 associates around the world. Mr. Günther joined A. Schulman in 2011 as its Human Resources Director EMEA, served also as HR Director in the Americas Region and most recently as Vice President, Global Human Resources Operations. He has more than 20 years of experience in human resources, having held positions of progressively increasing responsibilities for the European operations of several major companies, including W.R. Grace & Co., Hydro Aluminum Metal Products, Delphi Automotive Systems Germany, and Ford of Germany. He holds a Six Sigma Methodology Greenbelt and received a master's degree in educational sciences from the University of German Federal Armed Forces in Hamburg.

Andrean R. Horton is the Company's Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer with responsibility for A. Schulman's global legal operations. Ms. Horton joined A. Schulman in 2010 as its Senior Corporate Counsel, Americas and was promoted to Vice President, Secretary and Assistant General Counsel in 2016. During her tenure with the Company, she has provided counsel on a wide range of legal issues, including intellectual property, real estate, contracts, labor and employment, compliance and litigation. Prior to joining A. Schulman, Horton was General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of The Bartech Group, Inc., and held various legal roles at YRC Worldwide Inc. She began her legal career as a litigation associate at Calfee, Halter & Griswold. She received a juris doctor degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Michigan. She is a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel, the State Bar of Ohio and the State Bar of Michigan.

Heinrich Lingnau serves as A. Schulman's Senior Vice President and General Manager, EMEA. Mr. Lingnau, who has served in this capacity since 2013, joined A. Schulman in 1999 as a regional business leader in engineered plastics before transitioning into various management-level positions within the Company's European operations. Prior to joining A. Schulman, he spent 11 years at DuPont where his positions included product management and market development for various business units in Europe. Mr. Lingnau received a degree in mechanical engineering with a focus on plastic technology from the University of Aachen/Germany.

Timothy J. McDannold was named Treasurer and Director of Risk Management for A. Schulman in April 2013. In his current role, he is responsible for the strategic focus of the global treasury function and shared service centers. He previously served nearly 24 years at Diebold, Incorporated, in various global management roles including Vice President & Treasurer and Vice President, Global Business Services. He also spent three years at Ernst & Young as an auditor prior to joining Diebold, and received a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from Kent State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of AICPA, the Ohio Society of CPAs, and the Association for Financial Professionals, among others.

Gary A. Miller is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for A. Schulman. In this role, he is responsible for the efficiency and effectiveness of the Company's global operations. He joined A. Schulman in 2008 as its Vice President, Global Supply Chain and Chief Procurement Officer. Previously, Mr. Miller was with The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for more than 40 years, including responsibility for the company's global purchasing activities for 16 years. His positions at Goodyear included Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer for the company and president of Goodyear/SRI, Global Purchasing Company, a joint venture between Goodyear and Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd. Mr. Miller earned a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Cincinnati, and has completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University; the Executive Program at Darden Graduate School of Business Administration, University of Virginia; and Kellogg School for Graduate Studies, Northwestern University.

Gustavo Pérez

Gustavo Pérez was named the General Manager and Chief Operating Officer of the Americas in July 2010. He was most recently the General Manager, Masterbatch for the Company's North America operations since 2008. Previously he was General Manager of Mexico and prior to that position, he was Associate General Manager since 2000. He joined A. Schulman in 1995 as a Finance Manager of the Mexican subsidiary. Prior to joining A. Schulman he was an Audit Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He holds an MBA degree from the University of Quebec in Montreal and received his CPA from La Salle University, Mexico City.

John Richardson is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for A. Schulman. Prior to joining the Company, he was with Qwest Communications International from 2003 to 2008, where he was ultimately named Chief Financial Officer. Before Qwest, Mr. Richardson spent 35 years with the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and held various leadership roles including Vice President Corporate Finance & Chief Accounting Officer, and Chairman & General Manager of the Company's British subsidiary. He holds a Certified Public Accounting license from the State of Ohio (inactive) and earned his B.B.A. from Ohio University.
Gary Phillips serves as the Company's Chief Commercial Officer. In this role, he is responsible for driving profitable revenue growth on a global basis. Prior to joining A. Schulman, Mr. Phillips served as the vice president and general manager of Comcast Cable in West Palm Beach, Florida. From 2001 through 2012, he held various roles of increasing responsibility with Centurylink – and its predecessor company Qwest Communications – where he ultimately served as the vice president of business markets/central region. He began his career with Motorola Corporation in 1983, before taking leadership roles with MCI Telecommunications Corp, eSpire Communications and Metromedia Fiber Network/AboveNet Communications. Phillips received a Bachelor of Arts in Managerial Economics from Marietta College.

Frank Roederer is Senior Vice President and General Manager of both the Company's United States and Canada ("USCAN") business and its Engineered Composites ("EC") business. In this capacity, he is responsible for the design and implementation of the respective strategic growth plans for the respective businesses, as well as providing day-to-day oversight of these business units' operational and financial performance. Mr. Roederer has held various global positions of increasing responsibility since being named the Company's specialty powders business unit director in 2013. Prior to joining A. Schulman, he was the general manager of strategic planning and corporate performance management for SABIC, after overseeing W.R. Grace & Co.'s supply chain in Europe, Middle East and Asia for three years. He began his career at The Dow Chemical Company in 1996, where he held various global leadership positions throughout his 10-year tenure. He holds an operations management and marketing degree from Fachhochschule Offenburg, and a master of business administration from Schiller International University.

Rainer R. Schewe serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer, where he oversees all of the Company's procurement, manufacturing and supply chain functions around the world. A 25-year veteran of A. Schulman, Mr. Schewe served the Company in different leading roles in product development, manufacturing, and general management. Most recently he served as Vice President, Custom Performance Color in Europe, Middle East and Asia ("EMEA") and oversaw the Company's operations in Germany and Austria. Mr. Schewe joined A. Schulman as an Engineer in the analytical laboratory in Kerpen, Germany.
Stacy Walter

Stacy R. Walter, serves as Executve Vice President, Internal Audit.  She joined A. Schulman in June 2005 as Sarbanes-Oxley Audit Manager. She is responsible for the Company's global internal audit function and oversees the ERM and compliance activities for the Company. Prior to joining A. Schulman she was a Consultant for RGP, was with Continental General Tire for over 10 years in which she held various audit, financial and IT  positions, and was Internal Auditor for May Department Stores. She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Kent State University, an Executive Certificate in Technology, Operations and Value Chain Management from MIT Sloan School of Management and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Kristopher R. Westbrooks serves as Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller for A. Schulman. He joined the Company in 2011 as Assistant Corporate Controller and has served as Corporate Controller since July 2013 before being promoted to his current position in 2015. Mr. Westbrooks began his career in the audit practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. He also served as Global Accounting Consultation Manager and Senior Financial Analyst for The Procter & Gamble Company. He earned his master of accountancy and his bachelor's degree in business, accountancy from Miami University and is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
